Biography

Born in 1959 in Quebec City, Andree LaRoche has always been creative in her soul. During all of her youth, she escaped as often as possible in an imaginary world where love and harmony were found. Her approach to life led her to tell the most beautiful stories.

As an adult, Andree has worked in several areas, sales, communications, she has even founded an advertising firm. After selling it, she decides to take a sabbatical and painting became her new passion.

We were in 2001. Although she does not have specialized academic training in painting, technical courses that she follows, the various research on the subject that she does as well as the interest and eagerness she demonstrates give her the opportunity to provide concrete and rapid progress.

From canvas to canvas, strength, energy and freedom emerge from her paintings and give a very unique signature. Applied on large formats, the paint layer has no other motivation than to call our senses and our emotions. Acrylic is her preferred medium.

Her entrepreneurial drive and desire to share her passion lead her to open her art gallery in 2003 in Sainte-Flavie, the "gateway to Gaspésia”. The local artistic community opens its arms wide. Her gallery quickly becomes a must on the list of galleries to visit. Many fans and collectors discover and acquire the paintings. The first year is a success!

Andree operates the gallery until 2007. Subsequently, she returns to her hometown. Quebec's cultural life stimulates her highly and as a result, her art is greatly improved.

The paintings of Andree LaRoche are in her own image, filled with life, energy and freedom. For the colorist painter, painting is seen through the eyes of the heart.
